I had no idea what category this should go in
acrylic paint on book board (I think)
and I also cheated on parts and used colored pencil
The assignment was to create a design on a 100 square inch format that incorporated 2 cultural design motifs, mine being Polish Pottery and Art Nouveau (the main influence being Alphonse Mucha

I'm a slow painter so I ended up doing the majority of the painting at home and all in one night. The brushes I had at home were so terrible: the bristles were stiff, too large, and practically disintegrated in the paint! Which is why edges are messy and I used colored pencil to add details. Either way I'm pretty happy with the outcome...
Ideally, I'd have scanned this, but it's been a long time and my teacher hasn't allowed us to take it home....hopefully I'll have a less fuzzy and crooked image in the future
